APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
The Atlanta University Center Consortium, Inc. (AUCC) is accepting applications for the inaugural cohort of the Faculty and Administrator Collaborative for the Educational Success of Engineering program (FACES of Engineering). FACES of Engineering will assemble a distinguished team of change agents and scholars from AUCC member institutions to enhance and reimagine the role of engineering in the AUC liberal arts education. Membership in FACES of Engineering is a recognition of significant contribution to the educational mission of each AUCC member institution.
Members are selected annually from a competitive application process and must complete the attached application submitted to the AUCC for review. A FACES of Engineering scholar serves a 2-year term that can be renewed for an additional 2-years upon submission of a new application at the end of their tenure. New FACES of Engineering scholars will be added annually based on the discretion of AUCC leadership.
All applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be given due consideration in the selection process for membership. The selection will be made by a committee consisting of the current members of FACES of Engineering and one AUCC administrator. The decision of the committee is final in the selection process. The selected candidates will be notified by the AUCC of their selection for the 2-year term.
Eligibility requirements
• The member must be faculty, instructional staff, or an administrator at Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, or Spelman College
• The initial term is two years and is renewable through a new application
Dates and Deadlines
• March 20th, 2023 – Announcement of establishment of FACES of Engineering and invitation for faculty and administrators to apply
• April 9th, 2023 – Deadline to submit an application in pdf format
• April 21st, 2023 – Notification of selection for the inaugural FACES of Engineering cohort
• April 16th, 2023 – Deadline for acceptance of membership
• May 1st, 2023 – Announcement of FACES of Engineering scholars
